White Alligator Tours is a licensed Austrian tour operator and travel agency based in Vienna, running semi-private day trips since 2017. All our tours use our own Austrian-registered minivans and drivers, and every passenger is fully insured.

Unfortunately, not every tour sold for Vienna is run by an operator holding the licences Austrian law requires. Unusually low prices on booking platforms can be a sign that a provider isn't meeting these rules.

Please note:

• Anyone driving tourists for payment from Vienna needs an Austrian passenger transport concession or, for foreign car and minivan operators, an Austrian permit to pick up passengers (§ 11(5) GelVerkG).
• Tours that stay within Austria (e.g. Hallstatt or Salzburg) by car or minivan require an Austrian concession.
• Licensed operators are supervised by the authorities and must meet Austrian rules on drivers, vehicles and working times.

Before you book, ask any operator who the actual carrier is and which licence they hold. You can check Austrian licences yourself in the public GISA register. A licensed operator will be happy to answer.

For your safety and full legal protection, we recommend booking with a provider whose licence you can verify, like ours.
